Slaithwaite is a small town, (or a big village) in the Colne Valley, near Huddersfield in the county of West Yorkshire, England.

It has at least three possible pronunciations, depending on status.

Once you have decided on how you will pronounce it, there are a few other things that you need to know about the Village (which is what I call it) - apart from Slawit that is, from which you may have gleaned that I have been here for some time.

It has, amongst other things,

It does not have ( again amongst other things)

So as you know a bit about Slawit, please explore our site, and learn a lot more. Just click on the menu buttons on the left and see what happens.
